Next weekend let your children out! It’s Kids Big Day Out at the Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha!
Cr Jane Prentice extends an invitation to all the children in Walter Taylor Ward to Kids Big Day Out next Sunday, 28th September for a fun-filled day with an environmental theme.
Children are asked to dress as their favourite rainforest creature and prizes will be awarded for the best rainforest sounds.
“This is a great way for children to spend their school holidays and prepare for the next term of school, through means of this fun and educational experience”, Cr Prentice said.
“Highlights will include wildlife displays, roving rainforest stilt walkers, the World’s Biggest Raindance, Smarty Pants the Clown and a Rainforest dress-ups parade for the children, amongst many other activities”.
“This is an event to mark on the School holiday calendar”, she said.
The fun and games will commence at 9am and finish at 2pm.
