Councillor Jane Prentice is encouraging youth to take part in one or many of the ‘free and low-cost stuff for young people in Brisbane’ these holidays.
Councillor for Walter Taylor, Jane Prentice said Brisbane City Council recently released the ‘free and low-cost stuff for young people in Brisbane’ booklet with the intention of offering youth opportunities to further their dreams, develop new skills and connect with the city’s cultural, recreational and support networks.
“Furthermore this enables youth to be involved in the decision-making processes of the city, therefore taking a more active role in the community”, said Cr Prentice.
The booklet identifies activities run by Chill Out, Active Parks, RAW (Real Adventure Women) and GOLD (Growing Older and Living Dangerously) ‘n’ Kids. As well, as programs such as Stylin’UP, LOCALe – Music For Ya Park, the City Entertainment Program, Black Diamonds and Creative Sparks.
Cr Prentice said with the spare time holidays bring, the timing has never been better to explore the options for youth offered by Brisbane City Council.
